This unit
Clean unit from a fiber-component production line. Replaced the original HDD with an SSD, full recalibration after. Display bright with no burn-in; monochromator sweep smooth across the full range. Minor rack-rash on side panels, does not affect operation.
Verification before listing:
- Wavelength accuracy verified against internal reference and known DFB sources at 1310/1550 nm
- Level linearity sweep across -60 to +10 dBm
- Resolution bandwidth verification at 0.02 nm setting
- 24-hour burn-in, no errors logged
This AQ6370C came off a production line that ran it daily for transceiver testing, which is good news: continuously-run OSAs age better than shelf queens. We pulled the original spinning hard drive (the most common AQ6370-series failure point) and fitted an SSD before recalibration, so the usual boot-failure mode is off the table for this unit.
If you’re comparing against an AQ6370D: the C covers the same 600-1700 nm range with the same 0.02 nm RBW floor. The D adds faster sweep and newer firmware, but for DWDM channel checks, EDFA gain/NF, and passive component test, this unit does the same work for roughly half the price.
Ships double-boxed with foam-in-place from Pleasant Grove, UT. Calibration certificate with data included.
