Terms and conditions
Last updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance
By submitting a purchase order, accepting a quotation, requesting a repair or calibration service, or using this website, you agree to these terms and conditions in full. If you are acting on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Quotations
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless a different validity period is stated on the quote. Prices are not guaranteed beyond the validity period. Aumictech reserves the right to withdraw or revise a quotation at any time before written acceptance. Quotations are specific to the unit described — substituting a different serial number or configuration requires a new quote.
3. Orders and acceptance
An order is not binding on Aumictech until we issue a written order confirmation or invoice. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason. Accepted orders may not be cancelled without our prior written consent. Custom-configured or special-order instruments cannot be cancelled once sourcing or configuration has begun; deposits on such orders are non-refundable.
4. Payment
Payment terms are as stated on the invoice. First-time customers are generally required to prepay. Net-30 terms are available to approved accounts with a credit application on file. Overdue balances accrue interest at 1.5% per month (18% annually) from the due date. Aumictech reserves the right to suspend open orders and withhold shipments on accounts with overdue balances.
We accept ACH transfer, wire transfer, major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, and government purchase cards. A 3% processing fee applies to all card transactions. See our Payment Policy for full details.
5. Condition and equipment grading
Unless explicitly marked "new," all equipment sold by Aumictech is used or refurbished. The condition of each unit is described in the listing and on the quotation. Aumictech does not substitute units without customer consent — what is listed is what ships, including the specific serial number and any noted cosmetic condition.
The label "calibrated" or "NIST-calibrated" means the unit passed a calibration procedure to the relevant manufacturer or industry standard at the time of sale. It is not a guarantee of future performance or a replacement for the customer's own scheduled calibration program.
6. Warranty
Aumictech warrants all standard-stock equipment against defects in workmanship and function for 30 days from the ship date. If a covered unit fails within this period, we will repair, replace, or refund at our sole discretion. Warranty service includes return shipping costs in both directions.
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, dropping, liquid ingress, or unauthorized modification
- Damage caused by the shipping carrier after delivery (covered by transit insurance instead)
- Normal consumable wear (batteries, lamps, fuses)
- Items sold as "as-is," "for parts," or "untested"
Implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Returns
Return authorization must be requested within 30 days of delivery. Returns require an RMA number issued by Aumictech before shipment. Returned items must arrive in the same condition as shipped with all accessories included. Approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee unless the return is due to our error. See our Returns Policy for full details, including non-returnable items.
8. Shipping and risk of loss
All shipments are FOB origin (Downingtown, PA) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Title and risk of loss transfer to the buyer when the carrier takes possession. Aumictech is not responsible for carrier delays, loss, or damage after pickup. See our Shipping Policy for full details on packaging, carriers, and insurance.
9. Repair and calibration services
Repair and calibration services are subject to a flat-rate diagnostic fee as stated on the service listing or quotation. This fee is applied toward the total repair cost if you authorize the work to proceed. If you decline the repair after diagnosis, the diagnostic fee is due and the instrument is returned to you at your expense.
Turnaround times quoted are estimates and may vary based on parts availability. Aumictech is not liable for consequential damages arising from repair delays. Repaired instruments carry a 30-day warranty on the specific work performed.
10. Export compliance
Buyer is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable export control laws and regulations, including U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and ITAR. Certain test and measurement equipment may require an export license before it may be shipped internationally. By accepting these terms, buyer confirms they are not on any U.S. denied parties list and that the equipment will not be used in violation of applicable export controls.

In no event shall Aumictech be liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, or special damages of any kind, including but not limited to lost profits, production downtime, loss of data, or cost of substitute equipment, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aumictech LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the equipment, or your violation of any applicable law.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Chester County, Pennsylvania, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive any right to a jury trial for disputes covered by these terms.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The current version is always posted at this URL with a "last updated" date. Continued use of the site or placing an order after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For material changes, we will send notice to registered account holders by email.
